This involved two nights of concerts, together with memorabilia, DJs and screening of part of Bob Stanley and Paul Kelly's documentary on independent pop in the eighties "Hungry Beat"
The invite to do this came up earlier this year, and I was hoping for another June Brides reunion to play it. However, Frank wasn't keen - he wants the Junies to remain legend, which is fair enough.
Nevertheless, I still very much wanted to be involved. Therefore, I recorded backing tapes of Junies and my songs. I played guitar and sang live, along with the legendary Big Jon on trumpet.
It was great fun, and lovely to see so many familiar faces.
